The Pennsylvania Legislature’s recent budget approval has significantly enhanced the Economically Disadvantaged Schools (EDS) program, raising the tax credit from 90% to 99% for all donations directed to EDS-qualifying schools. How It Works
Apply Directly to the State: Corporations must apply directly to the Pennsylvania Department of Community and Economic Development (DCED). BLOCS will guide you through this process.
Receive Your Approval Letter: After your application is approved by the DCED, make your payment to BLOCS. These funds will be restricted until they are ready to be distributed to eligible schools.
Fund Scholarships: Your donation will be directed to schools that qualify for the EDS program, providing essential scholarships to students in need. Because the state identifies the participating schools based on pre-selected criteria, your organization can be assured that your donation is going directly into the hands of the students who need it most.
