K-1 Form FAQ

How will I receive my K-1 this year?

This year K-1 forms will be distributed by individual emails. BLOCS will not use the ShareFile system to distribute K-1 forms this year. Please note the K-1 distribution process below:

1. BLOCS Team Members with @blocs.org email addresses will send a direct email to the email address on file for donors receiving a K-1.

2. The subject of the email will be: Important BLOCS Form

3. Your K-1 form will be attached and encrypted.

4. The email will include directions on how to access the encrypted attachment.

5. All K-1 forms will be sent by 3/15/2025.

We will provide an update to all donors when all K-1 forms have been sent. If you have any questions, please contact your Development Manager.

What is the K-1 used for?

The K-1 provides your state tax credit. Please consult with your tax advisor on including your K-1 in your taxes to receive your credit.

Why did I receive more than one email with a K-1?

You may receive more than one K-1 from BLOCS in separate emails if your contribution was placed into more than one LLC.

Why Did I Receive a K-1 for $0.00?

The K-1 for $0.00 is for informational purposes only and is provided to ensure compliance with state and federal regulations and the LLC’s reporting requirements.

Each year, contributions may be allocated to different LLCs to fulfill the two-year commitment under the DCED’s EITC program. If you participated in an LLC in 2023 but not in 2024, you may receive a K-1 for $0.00 to formally close out your position in that LLC. Depending on your previous participation, you may receive both a K-1 for $0.00 and a separate K-1 reflecting your 2024 contribution.
